Meghna Bank Partners with Akij Fair Value for Cashless Grocery Payments

Meghna Bank PLC has entered into a merchant pay service agreement with Akij Fair Value, the retail grocery chain of Akij Venture Group, to facilitate cashless transactions for customers. This partnership will enable MeghnaPay users to make purchases at Akij Fair Value outlets simply by using the “Scan & Pay” feature.

Driving the Cashless Revolution

The agreement was formally exchanged at Meghna Bank’s head office, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. Notable attendees included:

  • Mr Kimiwa Saddat, Deputy Managing Director, Meghna Bank PLC

  • Mr Mokhlesur Rahman Akhtar, Chief Financial Officer, Akij Venture Group

  • Mr Sayed Joynul Abedin, Director of Operations, Akij Venture Group

  • Other senior executives from Meghna Bank and Akij Venture Group

Speaking at the event, Mr Kimiwa Saddat highlighted the growing importance of digital payments:
